The Packing House

All of our produce, with the exception of wine grapes, goes through the packing house before it is delivered to stores. Within minutes of harvest, product makes it to the packing house or an onsite cold storage and is cooled to 1 degree celcius to stop the ripening process and increase shelf life. All product then gets washed, sized and inspected for defects and is packed in appropriate containers for shipping depending on final destination. Often this whole process can happen in as little as 24 hours from harvest, to cooling, sorting, and being on its way to your local grocery store.
